ELECTRICAL DETECTIVES INC.: Short story about "JEEVES" our CAPPED CRUSADER

On the night that our electrical detective was born there was a full moon in the sky indicating that a star was ready to come into this world. The light from the moon cast such an illumination across the night sky that much to our surprise a great deal of things could be foreseen and corrected before they became a problem. Jonah our capped superhero better known as “JEEVES” in the electrical industry was a highly skilled service technician who was mighty in locating electrical code violations that villainous unskilled personnel around him had installed without proper protections and procedures in place. "JEEVES" as a child always wanted to grow up to become a safety monitor, ensuring that his family and everyone around his home was safe from hazards and unsafe living conditions. During the day while educating himself on electrical standards to ensure himself a position with an electrical detective agency, "JEEVES" was fascinated by stories and wonders of Great Detectives who once walked this great green earth. While reading books about how to successfully track down common short comings in the electrical world around him, he became mesmerized by surrounding himself with like-minded people who were interested in protecting those they loved.

"JEEVES" our private eye detective who was always on call at a moment's notice would surround himself not only with books but also with various styles of phones on his desk. Knowing it was only time before another client would be calling to safeguard their investment or add value to their homes. "JEEVES" would prepare by polishing his shoes, reading up on all the latest electrical trends and safety features. Only time could tell when the phone would ring again. "RING- RING- RING!"RING- RING- RING!" Our capped super detective who happens to also practice being a magician in his spare time answers the phone, thank you for calling Electrical Detectives Inc. this is Jonah speaking, (Jonah is Jeeves' biological name) how may I help you? What do you know, lo and behold a Mrs. Robinson at 1101 Baker Street in Rohnert Park is on the phone requesting for same day electrical troubleshooting and repair. "JEEVES" knowing that the only true way of being a super detective that tracks down issues in people's electrical systems is by being well read, prepared, organized and dapper dressed. As "JEEVES" slides down the fire station pole in his 1905 fire station that once also doubled as a book fair during the 1920s and a central library for many years during the 30s, our superhero jumps into his well-stocked company detective van and drives off into the mid-morning where he encounters no traffic, and promptly arrives at Mrs. Robinsons house exactly at the time he told her he would be arriving at 11:11 am. This is one of the key components to becoming a highly skilled electrical technician and that is by communicating effectively with those around you and especially with our clients. Becoming a private eye detective who can see all things hazardous around them and making suggestions and recommendations on proper ways things should be done ensures safety for our customers' investments and our agencies survival. "JEEVES" was never a know-it-all kind of guy, he had to pick up the information as time went on through experience. Bringing out his handy dandy detective magnifying glass "JEEVES" has the client Mrs. Robinson sign his paperwork to begin working on detecting the cause of her lights flickering on and off. It’s scary working in the dark, so our private eye turns on his flashlight and begins looking for the issues associated in each room, up in the attic, under the house, all around until he streamlines the investigative approach. By asking our client questions such as when did this electrical situation begin, asking if any particular high wattage items were on while this problem began, opens up dialog and conversation between the client and the agency. Because of skills beyond the great detective's years on this earth, our capped detective crusader has located the culprit disrupting our client's electrical system. It presents itself in the form of corrosion on some critical electrical parts in the main electrical panel outside. Apparently due to age of the electrical panel and water getting into where it shouldn’t be, it’s now time to replace our clients beating heart to the electrical continuity which has not been working effectively for quite some time by the looks of it under the all-seeing detective magnifying glass. I don’t mind telling you the reader that getting signatures on all paperwork is super important to the success of this agency. Spies like us always catch the electrical culprit and keeping a watchful eye out in our homes minimizes hazards of fires, and shock. It’s super important that when you see something that doesn’t look right, "JEEVES" asks you to communicate the problem with your Mom and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle and Aunt, older Sister or Brother. The sooner the issue can be found the less damage that it may cause, ensuring for better family vacations down the road and enjoyable moments practicing magician skills as well as dedicating your time to reading books to become the very best super detective on the block. You the reader are the best judge on if something looks out of place and may cause a dangerous situation to your younger brothers and sisters and family, so always keep both eyes on your environment and keep reading, soon you too will be a mighty capped crusader of truth and you will be rewarded with your own magnificent magnifying spy glass as well as top hat and magic wand when you join the agency! So, keep studying, and educating yourself on all things that matter to you. If ever you have doubts about the safety of your home such as chirping smoke detectors which means it is time to replace the batteries or if something electrical feels hot to touch, "JEEVES" is counting on you to report it to the Electrical Detectives!
